Our 2026 Summer Season
August 8-23
Season 11: Inventing America
For this summer we found inspiration in the anniversary of our country’s revolutionary founding 250 years ago - and in how so many of the founding societal principles of equality, freedom, and compromise are essential to chamber music. To celebrate the milestone, we chose an exciting slate of American pieces to place alongside beloved classics from Mozart, Beethoven and Dvorak that capture some of the youthful energy and rebellious spirit of our (still) young nation. We are also delighted to welcome one of our favorite American artists, Lei Liang as this year’s Composer-in-Residence. Lei’s music is so full of beauty, color, and wonder at the world around us - we can’t wait to share it with you.
Current Season Composer
Lei Liang
Lei’s works have been described as “hauntingly beautiful and sonically colorful” by The New York Times, and as “far, far out of the ordinary, brilliantly original and inarguably gorgeous” by The Washington Post. We love that his music is so full of beauty, color, and wonder at the world around us - and can’t wait to share it with you.
