Frequently Asked Questions
When does the Willamette Valley Chamber Music Festival occur?
Our main programming is three week festival of concerts in August. Stay tuned to our website for off-season events!
How long are your concerts?
Generally each event is between 90-120 minutes
Are the events indoors?
Generally yes. We will communicate clearly if any special event is to be held outdoors.
Do I need to bring my own chair?
No, we transform each of our winery venues into a mini concert hall experience, complete with seating.
Is there food at your events?
Yes, we work with our winery partners to have food options available at our events. This is generally for sale separately from the concert ticket.
How should I dress for your Festival events?
We feel very 'unstuffy' about the vibe, and encourage people to dress as they like! The only caveat is for our venues in barrel rooms/caves, which are quite cool (think low 60º's, even in the blazing August heat!). For those shows we encourage bringing along a sweater or similar outer layer.
Is there really a free wine tasting included at the concert?
Yes, we serve a free selection of wines (generally 3) for tasting at the event. These are carefully selected from our host winery's current offerings, and then lovingly paired to the musical program by Leo Eguchi.
What if I don't drink?
At least one of our winery partners makes excellent non-alcoholic wine. We are happy to work with them to provide an interesting N/A option - please just let us know if you prefer that!
How much wine is served at your concert tastings?
Generally speaking, there are three samples of wine poured (two before the show, and one at intermission), and each is approximately two ounces. This would be equal to one standard glass of wine.
Do you have recordings for us to listen to at home?
Yes! Please seek out our 2020 album Her Own Wings which hit number 4 on the Billboard Classical Charts!
Do I need to download/print my ticket?
No! If you purchased a seat, we have added you to our guest list and will be expecting you. No need to show your ticket.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
We ask that you please purchase your tickets in advance.
