(NEW!) In-Person Concert 4: Schubert in G @ Archery Summit
Is there an experience more unique than enjoying the acoustic of Archery Summit's barrel caves, dug directly into the red hills of Dundee? Join us for Schubert's epic final quartet; the vibrant colors of Caroline Shaw, a lovely little gem by Gershwin and a touching folk song setting by Golijov.

About the Event
We are delighted to return to Archery Summit this summer, and to bring with us an exciting program of old and new favorites! Caroline SHAW's Valencia (inspired by a simple supermarket orange) is full of the playful colors and irreverent style has made her music a big WVCMF hit in the past. Gershwin's Lullaby for string quartet is an early work that contains all the heartfelt sentiment that would help him define generations of American music. GOLIJOV's Arum dem Fayer is a setting of a yiddish folk song, written in memory of a friend lost to COVID-19. Finally, we will present Franz Schubert's seldom heard String Quartet in G Major - a stunningly beautiful work often neglected due to its scale and technical difficulty.
